What cut-out size do I need?
The hole in the ceiling must be 70–75 mm. The fitting itself is Ø88 mm, so the rim neatly covers the cut-out.
Is everything included to install the spots?
Yes. For each spot you get a recessed fitting, a GU10 LED spot and a GU10 lamp holder with 15 cm connecting wire. All you still need is a push-in connector or terminal block to connect them to your 230V wiring.
Are the spots dimmable?
Yes, the spots are triac dimmable. Use an LED-compatible dimmer with a low minimum load.
Can I aim the spots?
Yes, the fittings are tiltable, so you can direct the light at a specific spot.
What is warm white 2700K suitable for?
A warm, cosy atmosphere — ideal for the living room, bedroom and dining area.
Can I replace just the lamp later?
Yes, the GU10 spot is twisted into the lamp holder with a bayonet fitting and can easily be replaced with any standard GU10 lamp.

Description

Black recessed spotlights make a statement on the ceiling: they draw the eye, give a room character and suit a modern, industrial or Scandinavian interior perfectly. This set consists of 10 complete round recessed spotlights in black, each with a tiltable recessed fitting, a dimmable 5W GU10 LED spot in warm white (2700K) and a GU10 lamp holder with connecting wire.

10 spots: how much space do you light?

Ten spots is a handy number for a single room: think of a kitchen, bathroom, hallway or landing, or a row of spots above a cooking island or worktop. As a rule of thumb, keep 1 to 1.2 metres between the spots and about 50 to 60 cm from the wall; with ten spots that gets you roughly to a room of 10 to 15 m². Together the 10 spots deliver 4,000 lumens at a total consumption of just 50W. With 35W halogen spots that would be 350W.

Light colour: warm white 2700K

The 2700K light is warm white, comparable to a classic incandescent bulb. It makes a room feel soft and inviting, which is why it is the most popular light colour for the living room, bedroom, dining area and hallway. In a bathroom, too, warm white creates a relaxed atmosphere in the evening. Each spot gives you 400 lumens with a beam angle of 35° and a colour rendering (CRI) of more than 80.

Look and finish

The round shape is classic and fits almost any interior. The black finish stands out nicely against a white or light ceiling and blends in on a dark or wooden ceiling. The recessed fitting measures Ø88 × 25 mm, is made of coated steel and is tiltable, so you can aim the light at, for example, a painting, a wall or a worktop.

Dimmable

The spots in this set have an aluminium housing and are dimmable with a triac dimmer (leading-edge or trailing-edge). Choose an LED-compatible dimmer with a low minimum load; then you can adjust the light smoothly and without flickering, from bright task lighting to mood lighting.

Installation

Saw or drill a hole of 70 to 75 mm for each spot. Switch off the power, connect the lamp holder to the 230V wiring, fit the lamp holder onto the GU10 spot and slide the spot into the recessed fitting. The spring clips then hold the fitting firmly in the ceiling. Suitable for plasterboard and suspended ceilings, among others; make sure there is enough room above the ceiling for the spot and the lamp holder. If you are unsure about the wiring, have it done by an electrician.
