?   Vragen & antwoorden over deze TL-buis van 18 Watt

How many tubes are in this box?
The box contains 50 LED tubes T8 of 120 cm, all cool white 4000K.
How much light does one tube give?
One tube gives 2520 lumens at 18 watts, an efficiency of 140 lm/W. Together the 50 tubes deliver 126.000 lumens at 900 watts.
Does this tube fit my existing fluorescent fixture?
The tube is 1200 mm long with a G13 connection, the same size as a classic 36 watt T8 fluorescent tube. Power is supplied from one end. With a conventional ballast you replace the starter with an LED starter; an electronic ballast you remove. If in doubt, have an electrician do this.
How does the motion sensor work?
The built-in microwave sensor detects movement at a distance of 4 to 6 metres. The tube switches on when someone arrives and off again 60 seconds after the last movement. There is no daylight sensor, so it also switches on during the day.
Does the light flicker?
No, the tube has a flicker-free driver. That is pleasant for screen work and on camera.
What is cool white 4000K suitable for?
4000K is bright, neutral white light without a yellow or blue tint, ideal for offices, schools, warehouses and workshops.
Can I use this tube in a damp room?
No, the tube is IP20 and intended for dry indoor spaces. For damp rooms, use it in a waterproof fixture.
How long is the warranty?
You get a 5-year warranty on these LED tubes.

Description

A complete box of 50 LED tubes T8 of 120 cm with a built-in motion sensor. The tube switches on automatically as soon as someone comes near and switches off again 60 seconds after the last movement. Ideal for spaces where people come and go, such as stairwells, corridors, storerooms, car parks and offices, classrooms, workshops and garages. Each tube delivers 2520 lumens at 18 watts (140 lm/Wⓘ).

Bright cool white light of 4000K

With 4000K cool white you get neutral, bright light without a yellow or blue tint: pleasant to work in and good for seeing details. The colour rendering is CRIⓘ >80 and the driver is flicker-free, so no restless light during screen work or on camera.

How the sensor works

The end cap contains a microwave sensorⓘ that detects movement at 4 to 6 metres (measured at a mounting height of 3 metres). The sensor sees through plastic, glass and thin non-metallic materials, but not through metal. It has no daylight sensor, so the tube also switches during the day. If you hang several sensor tubes close together, keep at least 1.5 metres between the sensors, otherwise they may keep triggering each other.

Fits the standard T8 fitting

The tube is 1200 mm long (1214 mm including pins) and has a G13ⓘ connection, the same size as the classic 36 watt fluorescent tube. Power enters at one end (single-ended connection). If your fixture has a conventional ballast, replace the starter with an LED starter. If your fixture has an electronic ballast, remove it and connect the tube directly to 230V~. If in doubt, have the conversion done by an electrician. The tube works with a PFⓘ ≥0.9.

Sturdy: aluminium with a polycarbonate cover

The housing is made of aluminium, which dissipates the heat of the LEDs well, with a cover made of PCⓘ instead of glass. Nothing can shatter during installation or transport. Each tube contains 160 LEDs of the SMD2835ⓘ type, spread over the full length for an even line of light. The tubes are IP20ⓘ, intended for dry indoor spaces, and last around 50,000 burning hours. They work at temperatures from -20 to +50 °C, so also in a cold garage or shed.

Why a box of 50?

With 50 tubes you can fit, for example, 25 double or 50 single fixtures with new light, in one order and with one light colour. You also have spares right away. You get a 5 year warranty.
