Set of 10 recessed LED in-ground spots of 12W, each delivering 960 lumens in bright cool white 4000K. With a rim of stainless steel (grade 304), waterproof to IP67 and walk-over. Ideal for lighting up a terrace, decking, garden path, driveway, steps, façade or row of trees from the ground.

Please note: these in-ground spots run on 24 volts. A 24V power supply is NOT included and must be purchased separately. Never connect the spots directly to 230V; they will be destroyed instantly. For this set of 10 you need a 24V power supply of at least 145W.

How to connect the in-ground spots

The spots run on 24V AC or 24V DC. The wiring is always: 230V → 24V power supply → in-ground spots. Connect all 10 spots in parallel to the 24V output of the power supply: brown = positive (+), blue = negative (−).

• Power supply rating: 10 × 12W = 120W. Allow at least 20% headroom, so a power supply of 145W or more.
• Installing outdoors? Then choose a waterproof power supply (IP67). A standard power supply must be installed somewhere dry, for example in a shed or meter cupboard.
• Connections: make every connection in the ground waterproof, for example with a gel-filled junction box or an IP68 connector.
• Long cable runs? At 24V, the voltage drops over long distances. For cable runs of more than 10 metres, use a thicker cable (for example 2 × 1.5 mm²). With 10 spots you can also split the group over two cables from the power supply, so each cable carries less current.

Installation in 4 steps

1. Drill or dig a Ø155 mm hole for each spot, at least 120 mm deep. The spot itself measures Ø180 × 90 mm; the Ø180 mm stainless steel rim rests over the edge of the hole.
2. Put a layer of gravel or sand in the bottom of the hole so rainwater can drain away instead of collecting around the spot.
3. Pull the cable through and make a waterproof connection to the 24V cable.
4. Press the spot into the hole, switch on the power supply and check that all spots light up. Then neatly finish off the edges.

Walk-over and built for outdoors

The in-ground spots have been tested to the European standard for ground-recessed luminaires (EN 60598-2-13) for a static load of 5 kN (approx. 500 kg) and for the impact resistance of the glass. So you can simply walk over them. They are not intended for places where cars or other vehicles drive over them.

With IP67 they are completely dust-tight and resistant to rain, sprinklers and temporary submersion. Inside are an aluminium heat sink and a waterproof potted driver. The rim and top are made of stainless steel 304 and can withstand wind and weather.

What light effect do you get?

Each spot delivers 960 lumens in cool white 4000K: fresh, neutral white light that shows colours naturally and looks great with modern architecture, grey tones and greenery. The 45° beam angle gives a focused beam. Place the spot about 30 cm in front of a wall and it will light up a large part of the wall upwards (see the light simulation). This wattage is ideal for lighting up walls, shrubs, smaller trees and façades up to about 3 metres high.

Picture an evening in the garden: bright white beams of light washing up the façade, the hedge and the trunks of your trees, while the spots themselves sit flush in the paving or decking. During the day you only see a sleek stainless steel ring in the ground.

What can you do with 10 spots?

With ten spots you light up a larger project in one go, in exactly the same light colour. A few examples for inspiration:

• A garden path or driveway of about 15 to 20 metres, with a spot every 1.5 to 2 metres
• A complete façade, with the spots evenly spaced in front of the wall
• A row of trees or a hedge, with one spot per tree or every few metres of hedge
• Terrace and decking together, so everything forms one calm whole
