Description
The LED stadium light 1000W narrow beam is the 1000W stadium light with 20° lenses instead of the standard 90°. The same 170,000 lumens are concentrated into a narrow, powerful beam. As a result, the light reaches more than four times as far: ideal for lighting a façade, mast, quay, riverbank or part of a site at long distance, or as a spotlight on a ship.
How far does this light reach?
The luminous intensity at the centre of the beam is approximately 1.5 million candela. On a surface facing the light directly, you get approximately 100 lux up to 124 metres, 20 lux up to 278 metres and 5 lux up to more than 550 metres. By comparison: with the standard 90° lens, the same light achieves 100 lux up to about 29 metres. At a distance of 100 metres, the light spot is about 35 metres wide (see the lighting simulation).
When should you choose the 20° version?
Choose this narrow beam version if you need light far away on a limited area: distant corners of a site, tall façades and masts, harbour and quay lighting, securing a property boundary, or as a searchlight and spotlight on a boat. If instead you want to light a large area nearby evenly, such as a sports field from the sideline, choose the 90° version.
Use on a ship
As a bow light or searchlight, this lamp is extremely powerful. The Dutch inland shipping regulations (Binnenvaartpolitiereglement, BPR art. 3.07) prohibit lighting that dazzles other vessels or makes navigation lights less visible. Therefore, mount the light lower than the masthead light, never aim it at other vessels and use the 1-10V dimming function or a separate switch to dim it for oncoming traffic. The light runs on 230V and has no special coating against salty sea air: use stainless steel mounting hardware and rinse it regularly with fresh water.
Robust and reliable
The housing is made of die-cast aluminium with IP66: completely dust-tight and resistant to powerful water jets. The lenses are changed at the factory; the light has a high-quality LED driver with 1-10V dimming, a lifespan of 50,000 burning hours and a 5-year warranty.
