Description

This 24V LED driver of 48W is a plug-in power supply with an EU plug: you plug it straight into the wall socket, without a separate cable or junction box. It delivers a constant voltageⓘ of 24V DC at up to 2A and is made for 24V LED strips and COB LED strips.

How much LED strip can it power?

Always choose a power supply with at least 20% more power than your strip uses, so it does not run at its limit and lasts a long time. This 48W power supply is therefore just right for 40W of LED strip: one full 5 metre roll of our 24V COB LED strips at 8W per metre. For a strip with a different wattage per metre, divide 40W by the watts per metre to find the maximum length.

Connecting

The power supply has a long cable with a standard DC plug. If your strip has loose wires, use a female DC connector with screw terminals: red wire in plus, black wire in minus, click the connector onto the plug and plug the power supply into the socket. A dimmer with DC connection simply clicks in between; make sure it is suitable for 24V constant voltage. The power supply is IP41ⓘ and therefore only suitable for dry indoor spaces.
